Why "Letting Go" is The Most Important Thing I've Ever Done

I know its been a while since I've checked in with you guys! Truth is, I've been too busy/overwhelmed to take the time to write. I have enjoyed all of the traveling I've been doing lately and I definitely feel blessed to be in the position I am right now. Like the cliché goes- everything happens for a reason. I really take this to heart and no matter what, I always feel like it's true. Over the past few months so much has changed but I have noticed one common theme- learning to let go.

For someone who has had my whole life planned out, "letting go" has proved to be a constant challenge for me. Remember when I wrote "What's Next?"? I talked about not having a plan and all the uncertainties I have dealt with over the past few years. This has really been the first point in my life where almost everything is uncertain and I have had to learn how to roll with whatever comes my way.

I truly believe not having a plan has been the most important plan I have ever made. What I mean is, by not having a preconceived notion of what things are supposed to look like and when it will happen; I allowed room for the unexpected! I had been so afraid of things not working out- I never let them fall into place.

To me, letting go means letting things workout. I knew that my injury was keeping me away from golf and from there, I didn't have much of a plan. But by not having a plan, so many amazing opportunities have come my way! There is power in relationships as well as having faith. Sometimes, God has an even greater plan than we could ever imagine.

Someone asked me the other day if I post a lot of "travel pictures" to make it look like I am actually traveling.... The question caught me off guard but I realized that to some people, the life I have been living doesn't even seem real! So, I want to catch you up on the specifics of what I have going on!

Recently, my boyfriend, Tim moved to New York to pursue a job opportunity. This has been an adjustment but we are both happy and continuing to grow individually as well as together. Long distance is not easy but I think like anything, effort goes a long way!

I am still vigorously working to get healthy. I have been continuing my regimen of 3+ workout/therapy sessions per week. I have also started working with my sister, Taylor, in marketing and I am traveling a ton to keep it all functioning 100%. Thankfully I have awesome friends and family that support me and motivate me through it all.

So, with that being said- Im heading to New York for a week to see Tim, then I am off to Singapore and Korea. I'll be in Asia for at least a month to help Taylor host a golf event and do some other projects. When people ask me whats been going on recently, I don't even know where to begin! But I have found the main thing is that I am happy and I am so thankful of where I am in life. So for now I want to continue working hard and let the rest fall into place! Set goals, work towards them, and don't be afraid to shift your sails!
