Masters Recap/Spring Preview

Happy Spring everyone!

It has been a crazy few weeks for me! I have been continuing my physical therapy and starting to work on short game. I also went to the Masters and had a great experience in Augusta! I want to give you all an update on what I have been up to the past few weeks and what to look for moving forward!

My physical therapy has been going well but is definiltey a lot of work. I am continuing multiple different forms of workouts and manual therapy to get my body functioning correctly. This has been such a crazy process for me. After a year and a half of shoulder and neck pain I feel like I am making some progress and starting to understand the source of my pain. Basically, my body was functioning very inefficiently causing my neck and shoulders to take on a lot of the pressure when I got fatigued or tried to rotate. Through this journey I have had to learn how to be patient and stay positive. I am continuing to take it day by day and stick to my recovery plan. My posture is continuing to improve and I am optimistic that I am on the right track. Thank you all for your support through this time, the amount of encouragement I have received has been amazing!

Masters week was an incredible experience- per usual! My sister was back in the US for the first time since moving to Singapore in January. I was so excited to see her and to be able to attend the Masters as well as get out on the golf course with her. We stayed at Reynolds Plantation and played both the Landing and Preserve courses on Wednesday and Thursday. The courses were in really good shape and I highly recommend making a trip there; whether it's for Masters week or just a getaway! I just chipped and putted but it was still nice to be out on the course again! My dad was able to come out and ride the course with us which really made it an awesome couple of days. On Friday, we were able to go to Berckmans Place and attend the Masters! I always love being in Augusta during Masters week. There is so much excitement and everyone is so engulfed in the Augusta National experience. You never know who you might run into! We met Condoleezza Rice and had a great experience at Berckmans Place. Attending the Masters always makes me appreciate golf so much more and reminds me why I enjoy playing so much. Growing up in Augusta, and playing junior golf there, really developed my love for the game so any time I get a chance to go back, it really makes me think about how far I've come!

I am back in Greenville, SC now and I am spending the weekend with my sister before she returns to Singapore. I am so thankful to have such great relationships with my family no matter where we are located. With as much as I travel, it is so important to be able to stay connected with my family and have a strong support system. I am continuing my physical therapy and am optimistic about being able to play soon! Thank you all for your continued support and I will keep you posted!
