India Recap- Part 2

Hey everyone!

I have just gotten back from my second trip to India! I wanted to fill you all in on whats been going on while I was away.

To pick up where I left off in the Part 1 blog; after the Golden Eagles event in Hyderabad we went to see the Krishnapatnam Port outside of Chennai. It was so amazing to see where the company operates and to see just how large the port is. As we flew in we could see for miles, I had never seen anything like it! While we were at the port we rode jet skis and of course we had to play some golf. There is a par 3 golf course that goes right along the water so it was an amazing view!

After spending a few days at the port, Taylor and I were heading home for Thanksgiving! It is definitely a a long trip home but so worth it for us to be with our family for Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed being home but it was just long enough to repack our suitcases and head back overseas. Our friend Gaby lives in Dubai so we went to see her before we all went together to Delhi. She showed us around and made it such an awesome 24 hours! We went on a desert Safari and got to do some shopping at the Dubai Mall. I can't wait to go back because it was so beautiful!

From Dubai we all went to Delhi. First, there was a small event at the DLF Golf Course with about 30 players. It has been so amazing to meet so many different kinds of people and make connections across the world. DLF is one of my favorite courses I have been able to play while in India so I was excited to play it for the 2nd time.

After golf that morning, we all went back to shower and get ready for the Gala dinner. The parties that they throw for the Golden Eagles are done so well! It is so amazing how they can bring people together on and off the golf course. That night of the Gala dinner we rang in my 22nd birthday. Our hosts went above and beyond in helping me celebrate! There were about 40 people who stayed past midnight to sing, eat cake and dance with me which was amazing to have such a celebration on the other side of the world.

The 4th and final event in the Golden Eagles series finished off in Delhi. This is the first year they hosted the Delhi leg and it went great! There were a lot of Naval Officers playing in the event and it was great to get the chance to meet them. The Krishnapatnam Port team did an incredible job with all of the events. It was so great to be a part of something so special and I hope in the future I can play again!

So I am finally back home! Im very excited to start getting ready for Christmas and to spend some time with my family for the holidays. My shoulder and neck are still giving me quite a bit of pain so I am going to focus on getting 100% healthy and figure out a game plan for next year!

Thank you all for following my journey and I am wishing you all a Happy Holiday season and a healthy 2018!
